fee is typically 7% not 3%
been quiet here reading and eating and reading and thinking...

believe MMike is off about imminent retreat to 120 or wherever... believe Morgan is justifiably deceived by added shares in 2ndary... believe many are too focused on price tomorrow or Friday

I own options, and a lot for a little guy with a big mouth, tho buddies think I am big... so what? because I have until Aug19th and dont wanna get skewered by mgmt any more than Morgan... but Irwin and Viterbi got something big brewing, and I dont expect that the market or I will yawn over it... they need money NOW

demand must have been huge in the subscription... 2+ million more shares is no big deal... bullshit dilution... they will invest pronto and reap huge reward, if not in dollars then in adoption

market makers held the bid down, but in doing so, they soaked up a heavy number of shares held short now... I doubt MM sold shit shares to funds, since they held the bid above 156 all day long... am I wrong?

also, our new buddies the S&P funds and their cousins the pension funds will now vigorously defend their Q darling guest to the dinner table... they will overbuy and thin out after a week or two... expect any swoon to be after August 5th

doubt mgmt gives a ratshit whether price is 155 or 160 or 165... they need cash now for plans and cash now for reserves... IT IS A WAR OUT THERE AND WE ARE WINNING

good debate... nobody is stupid here... some are green

Rose - I had the same question. Since they say that they "netted" almost $156.50 a share, either the actual sales price was higher, the underwritering fee was much less, or their definition of "net" is different than mine.

My WAG is #2. Maybe they let the underwriter get some kind of deal.

Comments, not flames, welcome.

Great Investing to All,

Steve

Since I've not seen it mentioned here or on the G&K thread yet, here's the latest from Gilder:

gildertech.com

Lots of good mentions of QCOM and CDMA, though the focus is on our friends at GSTRF and LOR. Must reading. Expect GSTRF to put on about 6-8 points tomorrow at the open.
