My wife say's yes. But I'm content with my Honda Civic. 220K and still chugging along! What amazing engineering.

Nuclear plants are a great idea, unfortunately the anti-nuc greenpeace environmentalist protesters have scarred the industry and public away from building them.

Reducing waste is nearly always a positive thing, just depends on how you go about it. Do you think we should ban SUV's, or tax them at a higher rate in order to reduce "soccer moms" from buying them?

Michael

Nuclear construction didn't decline only because of hysteria inspired by off-the-wall eco-terrorists. The safety upgrades after 3 Mile Island and the factoring in of the costs of waste disposal and eventual decommissioning pushed the cost-benefit equation into the unacceptable range for most utility companies.

>>>>>Do we really need SUVs to get groceries?<<<<<

My husband's 6'2", I am 5'8", my sons are 5'10" (aged 14) and 5'6" (aged 11). We can't fit the family in compact cars.

What bugs me is that we have to drive to the grocery store, because residences and businesses are in different zoning areas, and never the twain shall meet. The funny thing, in fact it's downright hysterical if you ask me, is that we live in the Washington D.C. metro area, and as far as I can see, the same bureaucrats that want everyone ELSE to drive CAFE cars or take public transportation are the ones that demand the restrictive zoning. Insanity. A nice mix of business and residence is the civilized way to live, but the yahoos here know nothing of civilization.
