Actually, I don't think that 3dfx has proven that it will be highly profitable. After the strong V2 sales last year, earnings have not been all that great and they didn't close the deal with STB before the end of last quarter so we'll have another quarter with merger related charges.

I think that they're positioned to be very dominant, but they need to continue to execute. They need to show what we have gained from all the R&D monies they've spent and they need to launch products on time.

The V3 3500 is a good example. They'll ship some at the end of July, but they're saying on store shelves in early August which seems to me to mean that volume shipments in early August.

what the heck is happening in here? i go away for a month, and when i get back the price of this stock has hit rock bottom. so now i'm interested in buying in again- but whats up with this company? are they going to pull anything out of their sleeve? like 32-bit maybe? what's it going to take to keep them alive? i love voodoo- but the price of this company sucks- or is good for those looking to buy in i guess.
