OT -- You are of course correct on all accounts. I noticed that being a HK-Canadian implied being wealthy in HK.

Re. Asset disclosure: It is yet another example official stupidity that runs rampant around the world. I cannot understand what makes otherwise normal people to decide to play God, just because they hold a temporary office in the government. Did they really care about everything the government said before they became part of it? What you described goes hand-in-hand with places that disallow transfer of assets to the outside of the country under the pretext that the country needs foreign assets. As if anyone would put their money in a place that they cannot get it out of. Then they wonder why their reserves are so low.

Jim: The few stocks that I checked were about the same levels as before I left and are falling. Where did the 18% rise in naz come from? I am not following the market, so I may be completely off. But when earnings are beat the expectations and yet the stock falls, it is not good.

Anyway, I am having a great time here. I will be spending only two or three days at the rock. It is a major attraction and I'm sure there will be women there as well <g>. After that, it will be blue ocean ;)

cheers,
ST
