Just a little Quandary....... Anyone or everyone wish to try??? To qualify,for the free dividend, of a stock let's say due out on 5/03/99. I bring up this question?? Would not, most if not all brokerages have a three day settlement rule & if you were to buy (SHARES) on 4/30/99, your broker will show your date of record as 5/02/99. Or would the weekend not be counted as business days for settlement and you would have till 5/04/99, for a settlement date? Thanks to anyone who can solve the puzzle to this one.....Much in advance.
