This is unbelievable. Today my Discover account balance shows negative $20,000, no holdings, and portfolio data is "unavailable." Scratch that. It's been corrected. I spent some time on the phone yesterday with two different account brokers at Discover. They're "not allowed" to talk about IPOs and refer me to the Web site. But the online IPO center states that it receives too much e-mail to guarantee a response. Meantime, it looks like the tanking market has dropped the value of my paid-up assets just below the minimum to qualify for the IPOs, although my overall holdings remain above the minimum. This has become a thoroughly frustrating experience.
