OT OT OT Fwiw I think the property tax laws really messed things up in California. For the people that owned homes 30 years ago it was a windfall at the expense of the schools and newcomers. I just hope Seattle doesn't make the same mistake.

Is Silicon Valley a culturally desolate place, or is that just LA?

Yea, I feel fortunate to have owned eeln and exds today. Makes you wonder what they'd
do on a good day :).

I was thinking that. EXDS did have an upgrade today but there was no information of EELN. I would be more comfortable with EXDS.

ps. that article on the (crummy) quality of life in Silicon Valley I agree with. To be
frank, there are only 3 public school districts off the top of my head to which I'd send
my daughter. Fortunately, but not coincidentally, we live in one of them. We happen to
love it here, but not everyone can arrange their lives as we have.

I find the differences in Silicon Valley compared to here to be huge. So large, one cannot really compare.
