On the Jinks issue...I don't have a clue as to whether Barry is or was a good engineer. I suspect that He is or was a pretty mediocre CEO just based on the performance of the Company's Stock Price during his tenure from 1992 until the present. The question is, why doesn't anyone here have any idea of exactly why Barry was dumped? The Board of Directors was probably complicit in all of the policies that Barry implemented over the years as is evidenced by their nice words as they boot him out. How could they criticize him when all he was doing was fully agreed to by them?

I deliberately refrained from getting involved with the Conference Call because I expected that my questions would have upset some of you other stockholders. If I had known that Barry was leaving, I might have felt that it would be a good time to ask some questions. I listened to the replay and there was only one question. The fact that there was only one question was pretty surprising (to say the least). Perhaps everyone was stunned at Barry's leaving as CEO.

I do have a few questions that I didn't have enough information to ask at the time of the CC even if I had called in.

1. Was Barry involved in any aspect of the recent Broadcom (BRCM) acquisition of Hot Haus for an estimated $280 Million US? There are rumors that some people thought that Broadcom was going to try to acquire SSPI but that it was just a mistake based on the fact that the Hot Haus CEO was formerly with SSPI until He left in 1994 along with two other SSPI employees.

2. Was Barry responsible for Ross Mitchell leaving SSPI to become the Founder, President, and CEO of Hot Haus in 1994? Could Barry have kept him on board at SSPI in 1994?

3. Was the Alex acquisition bungled via gross overpayment and was that Barry's fault?

The Hot Haus question is interesting because Ross Mitchell and the two other Spectrum employees who left in 1994 managed to create a Company that was worth $280 Million to Broadcom by 1999. Spectrum was valued at less than $20 Million just a few weeks ago and is still worth less than $40 Million today. "Hot Haus is a telecommunications software company specializing in digital signal processing (DSP) software components required by telecommunications Original Equipment Manufacturers." Hot Haus has 70 employees and is privately held.

4. Is Spectrum now trying to get into the same business that Hot Haus is now in?

That's enough for now <G>. I am still long on SSPI.
