You're nothing but a democrat drone. Where in my prior response did I give credit to Republicans (or for that matter the Democrats) for the economy, etc.? There is no budget surplus. The only surplus is in Social Security for the meantime. The debt is still increasing. The surplus is building up because the Republicans and Democrats got together to cook the books by rigging the CPI, thereby greatly increasing the SS surplus. BTW, I'm not for the tax cut nor for Clinton diverting the 'surplus' to spending programs. His diverting of funds to Medicare should be a chargeable crime for misappropriating pension funds. What they should do is redo the whole entitlement mess from the ground up and cut the government spending by at least 10 percent (approximately 175 billion dollars) and preferably 33 percent. It's a crime that entitlement spending is increasing when unemployment is so low.

You can't blame Reagan for the deficits created by the profligate spending Dem. Congress who controlled the purse strings during his administration. Read the Constitution before you post such garbage. JLA
