I'm not sure what one might infer from the LEAP activity yesterday (ZTHAD JAN2001 $20 strike, with a volume of 1075 contracts) but it seems to suggest some faith in the future of 3Com. This might be a good play for those who believe that 3Com will be taken over within the next 17 months. Anyone trading 3Com options or LEAPS that has an opinion, suggestion, or comment on this or another option strategy please jump in.

Elmo...how do we put this outfit into perspective?? No hype from IR just matter of fact releases. Cross licensed from MSFT,Siemens, Alcatel,IBM,Siemens ,QCOM and so on and so on...Are we just pregnant and waiting for birth in 9 months??? Or are we just dead in the water with a management mis-step. E.B.was the only company official not to transfer to palatial yuppie-dom when COMS was in high margin bucks. From what I've read he does'nt have a fat cat attitude as per an article("Quiet Communicator" from the San Jose Mercury News). I kinda think he might be a geekish visionary. Hope he is taking all the difficult moves now and positioning himself for the future.
