Vendit - Following your suggestion, I looked at MSFT with 20-day Bollinger bands. The top was quite dramatic - a white candle poked through the top band on 7/16, and a black candle poked through the top band on 7/19. With AOL, though, it wasn't so clear - the candles were near the top, but not poking through, on 7/9 and 7/12. Did you pick up the 7/9-7/12 AOL top because Stochastic 5-3-3 and Williams %R turned down when the candles were near (but not touching or through) the top Bollinger 20 band?

Vendit - MACD certainly proved right today. For most of the day, the candle hovered around 101 and looked like a spinning top in the making; also Stochastic 5-3-3 and Williams %R were pointing just a little bit upward. The temptation was to jump in and buy at the bottom, but MACD was solidly negative and getting more so - a "best friend" indicator for today.
