WOW! That's really amazing. I really understand you a lot better now. Your ability to rationalize FACTS which are inconvenient to your warped view of the world is REALLY unparalleled. You really are the Empress for sure. JLA

The argument was over San Mateo to San Rafael, and Yahoo! gave it as 63 minutes, and MSN gave it as 42 minutes, and Bill said that it was about an hour...

...You categorically asserted that one would have to go to Oakland to buy a gun if they closed down that "one gun shop", and there were 86 dealers (who knows if they were all shops, but some of them said they were) within a 55 mile radius, and about a dozen were less than 10 miles away from San Mateo town center...

...I thanked you for the rebuttal of the U of C study, since it is the first one I had seen. I am also not sure what to think, since the original study was highly praised. But there was no intention to lie...

<<For example take the discussion we had about men's sports. I mentioned there was a situation where an owner violated his own salary cap causing a split among the owners. You assumed I was talking about baseball and since baseball doesn't have a cap my comments were the stupidest comments you had ever heard>>

Damn right I thought you were talking about baseball. That's because you responded to a baseball post! They were not the stupidest comments I ever heard, you've surpassed those comments many times.

<<We both know you are aware of this happening in football or other sports. You are not trying to debate the topic with me, you simply want to nitpick my argument to death in an attempt to gratify yourself.>>

No, that wasn't my intent there. I had no idea you were talking about football, a sport where the players association was stupid enough to agree to a salary cap. Baseball and football are night and day, like the difference between enterprise software and networking equipment. For you to have made that statement in a baseball context was just plain ludricrous.

<<There is one meaningful gun shop in this town and violence occured there. Someone posted a piece that claimed the 2nd shooter was a hero and I am contesting that.... THAT was the point. You then jump onto my remarks about the main gun shop as being the only shop "in town".>>

You said the crime wouldn't have occurred if this particular gun shop did not exist, rationalizing that he'd need to drive 100 miles to Oakland to buy a gun. That is not a smart assertion IMO for a number of reasons, not the least of which is Neocon's discovery that there are 84 gun shops in the general area.

<<When was the last time your side actually presented a true picture of some gun survey?>>

I don't think my side has ever presented a true picture of a gun survey. Of course, my side is the same as yours. I want all gun law violators jailed. And I want a registration system. Of course, my side consists of a bunch of whiney liberals who do nothing but politicize this issue for a few votes.

<<A long time ago Dipy berated you for claiming not to know Bob Barr's record. You seemed surprised he didn't believe you didn't know about Barr and the Christian Right.>>

Dipy was mad because I challenged him to show me proof of Barr being a hypocrite. Instead all we got were dem party machine tag lines, keywords if you will. He claimed Barr was a hypocrite, but offered no proof or reasoning as to why.

Blind faith in tag lines and democrat party keywords is what causes so many problems for you. When you don't think for yourself, or make your own judgments, people are bound to challenge the roots of your arguments. That's why you have so much trouble defending your arguments.
