how well do you think rmbs will do?

the absolute highest i have heard for next year so far is 35%. and that is not till the end of the year per morgan stanley. and with that they predict earnings tripling then tripling again.

Burgoo,

It's now July. If RDRAM appear in consumer PC's in July 2000, we'll have an entire 1/2 of a year (including the holiday season) to build the business. I think we could finish the year with a run rate of 50% of the DRAM market (run rate, not share for the entire year), especially when you remember that higher-end systems use up much more memory than the low-end specials (see the recent post re: memory usage by system).

We'll know in 18 months.

But what about the good news that Compaq has been trying for a year to get the industry to move RDRAM into the consumer PC? No comment? That really was excellent news. Thanks again for bringing that to our attention.
