I know that there is Freeserve, Netzero, X-Stream and other free internet IPOs. They all have banner ads to create advertising revenue and other angles. X-Stream is the only one I've invested in so far.

Does this ISP work this way - do you have to look at banner ads, etc. If not, couldn't they change this policy at any time?

Not trying to cut this down, just fascinated that ISPs are getting so creative, so quickly.

IMO - AOL sucks as an ISP; now that MSN is getting instant message capability, they are done. I have had AOL for three years (byoa plan only) and only DIRECTV dethrones AOL for the worst customer service award.
