I searched there for Eric Partridge and discovered he had quite a career in slang dictionaries: in addition to the one Joan cited, there's also _A Dictionary of the Underground, British and American being the Vocabularies of Crooks, Criminals, Racketeers, Beggars and Tramps_, _A DICTIONARY OF R.A.F. SLANG_, and several others.
