>> but am looking to reestablish my position later.

Something similar happpened to me earlier. I had been shorting ebay in the 150's and finally covered all at 140. The missed the whole move down to 100. Hopefully there will be as much drop now as I missed. Anyway, I can short more shares now. As a humorous anecdote, I had shorted ebay at 169 a couple months ago. Then it ran to 189. It took two weeks to eke out a little profit from that. Probably the buyers at 189 would not find the story so amusing now. By the way, where is HappyGirl? she was a staunch defender of ebay for a long time.

It looks you did the right thing to cover at 100. It seems to find support there. Though I think much of that is coming from the dow and nasdaq. On a down day, ebay would have been under 90 for sure. And it may yet oblige later in the week.
