OT jury duty

Which courthouse were you at? Last time I had jury duty in Santa Monica I was a little surprised by all the retirees who insisted that the jury room TV be turned to a stock channel. Most of the people I spoke to owned mutual funds, and they seemed to trade them like stocks. (Apparently the fees for switching from a stock to a money market fund within the same " fund family" or "supermarket" are quite trivial.)

I remember thinking that this market's 1987 moment, if it comes, is more likely to be caused by trigger happy retirees (more precisely the fund managers who live under the threat of massive instantaneous redemptions) than by twentysomething day traders.
