Slider & Kay, long time.

Have either of you had a look at KN Energy, (KNE)the "nation's sixth-largest integrated natural gas company". This outfit is in the gas production, pipeline, and natural gas power-gen business.

The stock took a deep dip recently on news of a $505MM merger with Kinder-Morgan which later fell through. The stock price has since recovered and a number of brokerage upgrades have been issued.

As for MEXP - well....I must say that their wells are pretty deep for such paltry production numbers. Makes a body wonder how long it takes'em to pay out.

Incidentally - I really like those companies with nat.gas utilities and pipelines. Ownership of pipelines implies possession of right-of-ways, which incidentally are very valuable when it comes to laying fiber optics lines. I have been invested in Montana Power (MTP) for some time, and the company has recently moved into the telecoms arena for just that reason. It's doing quite handsomely.

Regards and Good Luck to All,

Aggie
