He believes government is wiser than "the people" and admits to not being able to define truth!! On 1, you're wrong. I don't think government is wiser than the people. I DO think that when people form governments there are certain responsibilities they expect those governments to take on. Among them are defense and law enforcement. I also include in them the ultimate responsibility, when nobody else is doing it, to protect infants and children who are unable to protect themselves and whose parents refuse to protect them. I assume you think those infants and children should be tossed on the trash heap, or left out in the streets to fend for themselves (as is done in some cities in other countries which I have visited). As to not being able to define truth, I didn't say I couldn't define it. I said "my agenda here is truth, whatever that is." I admit I don't know all the facts and reasons which resulted in Washington, D.C. being rated the worst place in the country to raise children, nor do I know everything they are doing to serve children and whether they are doing it effectively, efficiently, and with due respect for the integrity and dignity of its citizens. If you know the full truth about that, please post it all here, addressed to CobaltBlue. If you don't, quit sniping at people who are involved in serious discussions, about which I concede you have so far shown on this thread that you know little if anything. (NOW, E, you have a reason to accuse me of meanness if you want to. But my defense is simple: truth.)
