Boxing is not something one can easily do with an electronic account to my knowledge.

I don't think that was the question, but it could have been.

I don't have an electronic account yet, so I don't know if you can be both long and short the same stock in the same account.

I know I can with my full service broker.

Does anyone know if E*Trade reduces the margin requirement to 5%? I could call them, but I would spend 6 weeks on hold before they gave me the first of three or four wrong answers.

I really need to switch brokers.
