If you don't count the invisible lines that space out tables for ancient browsers, I think there are fewer graphics on the new site when compared to the fossil site.

But, although I still think the design looks far better and works far better than the dreadful fossil site, I don't think the new version should ever have been released in this state. It's dreadfully slow. It's bug-ridden. (And no, I'm not posting bugs on something that's being shoved off as a release product.)

Releasing this thing in this state (if that's what's actually happening) was a very bad idea. This is bad. This is buggy. This is unusable. That's fine if it's a beta. It's not fine if folks are being directed here who don't understand that. It's late, though. Perhaps it's just the rollout problems. But even so... I don't see why a product that showed so many new bugs in its beta version would be rolled out. Run it for at least a day without a bug. ZBR: Zero Bug Release.

I feel the same way. For the first time, I spent some time on Raging bull board yesterday. It is better than the beta site IMO. I prefer SI to add a lot of new features to th classic and charge an annual fee (to use the new features), if the whole idea of forcing beta on us is to generate revenues. Please take this as one member's opinion only...

Imagine if beta was forced on us, without making changes based on excellent feedback by members like Cheeky Kid etc...

By the way, IMO message boards are popular because we are in a great bull market. Will it last???

This is what I bookmarked from the day of my membership:

techstocks.com

I am not leaving until I am the last one here. Then I'll turn out the lights. I don't want to use the Edsel until I have no choice.

Marcos:

I posted this to Jeff:

techstocks.com

I also said in a earlier post saying something to the effect that when the beta site goes public, members are going to be in for a shock.

I can't find that post. Not sure what thread.
