Neo-
I'll start with this, before going back to the rest of the last post and then answering my buddy, Dan(whew!) Unfortunately, if we continue discussing "hot" topics that engender raised emotions and multiple posts, I am going to have to be somewhat selective in answering. It gets a little overwhelming and extremely time consuming. if someone really wants something specific addressed, I will be happy to oblige.

<< Such things as suing for support, making the man take rsponsibility for the child, are anachronisms that are irreconcilable with the theory that it is solely her decision. It is not suppositious,
since eventually it has to become an issue, and the logic is clear...) >>

I disagree. responsibility for a child is not at alll incongruent with a women having responsibility for decisions while the child is in her womb. Because I believe a women has that right, doesn't mean that I forfeit or even desire to forfeit the obligations that come with having a child after that child is born. I don't think that the logical conclusion is that since I don't have a choice in one aaspect,
I therfore abdicate all responsibility. I think there are some who will feel that way and use it as an excuse to relieve themselves of an obligation, but it is my contention that a certain percentage of that subset would be finding a diffeernt excuse, if not that one...

<<When I refer to "predatory behavior", I mean ordinary hunting for tail. Many men already consider "fast women" fair game, all that is needed is to consider the consequences solely "their business", and there is little inhibition left....>>

Again, I don't think this is the logical sequence of events. when I was dating, I didn't say to myself, "screw it, (pun inteneded) she can always have an abortion."

In college, my girlfriend had an abortion without my knowledge of it happening. I would not have wanted it to happen. I never her questioned her right to have it. It was very traumatic for both of us.

<<l, I have known some of them, as has my wife,>> << But you need not believe it...>>

I fully believe you know people like that. You don't seem to be the type of person to lie in order to win an argument. My contention is that I don't think a significant amount of people are that cavalier about it.
