An inferiority complex? Or is it just the snobbery of intelligence? I, for one, can't stand MSFT, but I have to use their software...and I recognize the marketing genius of Gates...it IS genius, BTW. FWIW, AAPL WAS on its way to being a far more lethal monopoly, when they shot themselves in the foot. They, too, WERE very smart, for a while, and are again. AOL....beats them all, IMHO. They are NOT a technology company, but a media company. They just use technology in a snappy, easy, pleasant way for most people. Just not guys like us....that's all. The Big 4 networks make trash product, too. But lots of people watch. Doesn't make the cooler cable nets any less profitable or better... THAT's the way to look at AOL.
