In addition, CEO Larry Ellison announced to reporters that Oracle will offer software for small businesses and is about to reenter the thin client market. The company has an Intel-based Internet access device with 64Mbytes of RAM that runs Linux and Netscape Navigator and boots from a CD-ROM. Although Oracle has been giving away a similar device to schools, the cost has now dropped enough to appeal to consumers.
