I am a buy hold and hold long term investor. My DD has has my $ invested @ 10.5, 11.65 and 13.25. However,(IMO) if one has trouble managing the short term(much easier than the long term) i've got a problem. I feel the long term prospect are good, but I too am concerned that we will never be mainstream. Any thoughts?

>> I challenge you to have a bit of patience . . .

You've been talking to my wife?? :-)

When it comes to long term versus short I do think caution is the word regarding small caps. Buying the big tech names and holding long term has rewarded the patient investor in the 90's. Small caps on the other hand have languished for the last couple of years. Sure, there's the exception, but the average small cap hasn't kept up.

Varl is conservatively priced (at 10) considering growth prospects. Hopefully, they can grow profits as well.

The wage increase number looked ominous. That may spook people for a bit, so I wouldn't be surprise if we have opportunity to add to Varl holdings at low prices near term.

Do you know the management team? How do they rate?
