G'day all - Paul, the 25 basis points increase has actually factored in when the long bond broke 6 [50 basis points in all] I think the real fear is whether Uncle Al would take back all three rate reduction from last year. W/o any knowhow to support me <g>, I don't think so. I think Mr Greenspan will actually hold the rate in Aug and see if the ECI number is an anomaly, like the PPI a few months ago. Unfortunately, holding the rate will not ease the long bond until there is a clearer signal. A veto of the $800B tax cut will help. Of course, the direct method will be a rate reduction. But it doesn't look that way unless the rate goes up another notch first.

Back to NT, technically, it looks ok. 84 held before the earning release. Yesterday, 88 held. Higher low anyway. Now, the question is if we can get higher high.

A round of applause to Roth & co. Not only there is no nasty surprises, but also it is according to script, e.g., stock dividend. I think a more significant development is the realignment of business units, i.e., the merging of wireless and wireline in a global solution unit. It is forward thinking. I like it

best, Bosco
