Well, I certainly would not like to upset you, Joan...If there are no takers, no harm done...However, I have lurked long enough to wonder why you object, when issues like these come up fairly often in one form or another on this and Rambi. Perhaps it is a question of tone: I do not banter about everything. Sorry....

jbe, you couldn't be more wrong. This thread has always discussed politics in great detail, almost from the beginning.

And it would certainly be more refreshing then the discussions of sheep sex. :-)

Michael

AS Christine's original First Lieutenant, I will throw out that while politics has always been here in some form, and often discussed with great intensity, there was also a great deal of poetry and personal discussion, and a wide variety of bizarre and wondrous topics-- mostly due to CGB's eclectic reading habits and near photographic memory for strange facts. There was nothing she wouldn't throw out here. We have dissected marriage, extramarital affairs, cyber affairs, childrearing, breastfeeding, family beds, fantasies of all sorts, recipes, childhoods, music, poetry..But polarize we did, and often.
I remember one thread stopper-- when she decided to ask if we found unshaved armpits sexy.
