I do agree that technological advance creating greater productivity is what is keeping the inflation monkey off of our backs. I do agree that
it appears as if that will continue for awhile. I do think that this is an abberration in terms of how things usually work. If the pace of advance slows down, watch out!

As for college, I admit that not everyone is suited. That doesn't mean tht we could have a much higher percentage attending and graduating than what we have now. The increase would be greatly beneficial to society, IMO.

There are plenty of well-paying businesses or jobs for which a college education is not necessary. Construction work, plumbing, electrician, auto mechanic, ... The level of pay and amount of work varies with how well one perfects his trade, how well one interacts with customers, and how aggressively one seeks new business.
