Bosco, My first post on this thread was a reaction to the news coverage last night. It seemed that it was day trading, guns, and society to blame and not the shooter himself. That is why the post about Charlton Heston getting a "warm fuzzy feeling" from gun violence bothered me.
I do agree that the Denver meeting should have been canceled or moved. It did not do any good for their public relations.
have a good day,
Charlie

Try cancelling a national convention the week before it happens. The hotels are booked, the flights are booked, exhibits are ready. It is not done without a lot of cost and threats of legal action. The NRA was perfectly right to go ahead. To cower would have been to acknowledge some validity to the antigun argument.

BTW there were victim's families who supported the NRA and blamed the tragedy on the kids and their oblivious parents. But the media gave them no attention.
