You are right about the children. There are many that go without. I don't think it takes away from the elderly, but you are right.

In terms of the nflatio scenario, most elderly aren't effected by inflation right now, because we have none to speak of. We were tlking about theoretical cases of inflation and the ensuing problems. If we had the inflation, the stock mkt might not hvae created so many wealthy seniors and it would be more of a problem.

Nevertheless, you had a good point.

I think cheaper labor is part of it, but I personally think technology
has creeated a much more efficient mkt place and has played a great role in keeping inflation in check.
