Where is the concept of personal responsibility? Blue, and others here have written so well the feelings that I would imagine all of us share about Atlanta, Colorado, Oregon, and all the other places where sickening things have happened due to sicko minds... And I'm sure that most of us have thought long and hard about what we can personally do... I believe that one thing we CAN do is take personal responsibility for our own actions, and voice to others the suggestion that the lack of this personal responsibility is one BIG reason for some of the terrible things that are happening... Somehow, in the last 30 years or so, some of the basic things that have made this country great, are lacking. And I believe it starts at the top of whatever community unit at which we are looking. Government encouraging people to 'let the government take care of it for you', IMO, is surely part of that problem. I personally listen to people when a good part of their problems seem to always be "someone else's problem'....and then try to go as far from that person as possible. On the subject of gun/hammer/knife/rock, etc... control...I thought I'd use MetaCrawler, and look up Swiss Gun Control, and came up with a very good article that some of you might be interested in....and it was interesting to me that it did talk at some length, about Personal Responsibility! We actually did meet a Swiss citizen, who told us of the Swiss view on guns.....He also said, that while every household by law, had a gun, they had had 4 (FOUR) murders by gun in the entire country since 1950!!!! Here's the site:ssanz.org.nz The Swiss and their Guns Thanks for listening, KLP
