Crunching the numbers to get my new Portfolio Update ready. Since July 17, the Dow and the NAZ have given up one-third of their YTD gains (+22% to +16% and +30% to +20 respectively), while the S&P gave up almost half, from +15% to +8%.

It's definitely time to think defensively, boys and girls. The institutions are not going to stay fully invested through a crappy fall season.
