Carl, Ken, I take the large caps side. Every year, some analysts come trotting out with the "small caps will catch up with the big caps, or at least start participating in the bull market more" cry. As soon as the big up days on the market occur, especially on the NAZ, the big caps explode, and most forget the small caps. As for July, the big three markets were all down, so the high beta big caps followed suit. They go up big and down big, but overall, they go up much more than the little guys.

I mean, this scenario seems to be holding true for the last five years or so, so what's going to change it?

carl, exactly right. I am even for the month. If we listened to all these informed opinions we would have "rotated out" of tech into cyclicals a couple of months. I am up 20% the last 60 days and I did not rotate.
