We still don't know the terms of Pauls exit from Intel in 1982.

Paul is nervous because the Athlon is a faster, more scalable chip.
Any optimisim about Intel keeping the MHz lead is guarded at best.
Before, Intel could rely on AMD screwing up while trying to catch up. Now, they have to rely on Intel keeping up while hoping AMD will screw up..
