It is very quiet on SI these days. Summer in Europe and the States. Low volume. I expect sides ways movements of net stocks with narrow ups and large down drafts for most of August. People may tire of internet stocks in the short term leading to the next leg up in this bull market.

This month will be a good time to add to Softbank positions, esp. near the end of the month IMO. I am reading more on Softbank this weekend and will share my observations soon (not that it matters to anyone).

Jay, thanks you and Mact for the informative responses. You have both provided very insightful information. I also believe, but surely wish I had known about 9984 in Nov. 98! I'm trying, probably in vain , to time an addition to my 9984 holdings. There seem to be so many things spooking the markets here, let alone me trying to figure out one in another country. My position is long, and you have recently added at 31, so I will watch carefully over the next couple weeks. I think the US markets will be down further as the end of August approaches, as nerves over .25% rate hike is in the air.

My best to you in your new home and with you new computer!

Linda

I bought l00 shares on 7/6/99 around 31, and would appreciate your opinion on the long and short term of this stock. I am a CMGI fan and looking to sftbf for a similar style and growth? Do you agree with this? I'm also pretty much a beginner but would like to buy more --what are the chances of a dip in August? I'm also not sure how to follow this stock on a daily basis due to time and language differences. Also, I paid Fidelity $75 to buy, is there any way to do it cheaper? I appreciate your comments on SI, and many of the others, I"m a Yahoo chatroom refugee. Thanks in advance.
