Richard,

I don't see the evidence of back room deals being presented. I'm not saying they don't occur, but obviously nothing has been documented that you could make a legal case out of.

However, I'm certain that the word gets around that the Fed/CBs have certain goals they wish to achive with regard to monetary policy and it quickly becomes an open secret as to what the repercussions will be on various equities, commodities, and debt securities. Only a fool will continue to bet against the Central Banks when they all seek to work in conjunction to demonetize gold to a certain extent, if not completely.

Sound Fiat money rests squarely upon a sound economic performance. The US economic performance over the past 10 years has been outstanding and I believe, based upon sound principles.

Personally, I think the US economy can grow more rapidly given the productivity gains we are seeing, but the problem with that is the US would continue to suck up the majority of global capital leaving the peripheral nations sucking hind teat. That result would be destabilizing in and of itself. So AG works first to boost US growth last fall, but must let the US economy dollar undergo stress so that all capital doesn't flee to the US, instead of making its way back overseas.

But I'm betting it ain't going quite work out that way, at least for the next 6-12 months. I'll feel much better about my analysis of foriegn economies after we pass Jan 1st and see what turns up.

Regards,

Ron
