Without taking a position on your comment, I would add that it is pretty generally acknowledged that the former CEO of ABTX also had his margined shares sold out form under him earlier this year. i do not know whether these were restricted or open shares.

Barb- You and I both know that a brokerage firm cannot hold restricted stock and an option cannot have status in a margined account ....consequently one cannot borrow against it in a conventional account. If an insider owns unrestricted stock as may be the case for these examples you refer to then fine. But I am quite certain that CUST stock, other than the 5K Mr Cook recently purchased is, in fact restricted and thus not marginable.

This discussion is not going anywhere because neither of us is close enough to Mr Cook to be absolutely sure. And, that was my point in the first place. It is patently ridiculous to assume that he bought 5k shares to hold up the value of all stock. If you disagree with me then fine, nothing new.

Fact is that I am telling you and others on this thread that they do not know the real reason for his purchase and to claim otherwise is pure folly.
