Shroder-- The words you are missing are "until now". Billy has seen PALM being written on the wall. We may see another 1 or 2 versions of CE until he has it correct,,, but it will happen IMO... We need to have a much larger mkt share and even more partners and software when that happens,,, Eric is not the one to lead PALM in that direction..

All excellent points. But one problem.

1. Microsoft wants NT everywhere (CE is a derivative of NT)
2. Microsoft knows the limitations of CE
3. Microsoft knows that they have to fix these problems to succeed
4. Microsoft will fix these problems.
5. When they do I would not want to be COMS
6. Why would a company buy COMS for PALM knowing they are running headlong into competition with a company that has three times more CASH than COMS has revenues! Microsoft can buy there way into this market as they are currently doing in the service provider space.

Lesson: Do not, under any circumstances, underestimate Gate's will to win.
