It is unlikely that a Taiwanese or a Taiwanese American, or American of Taiwanese origin, will be passing nuclear secrets to the Chinese.

Just like it was unlikely for the Jewish Rosenberg's to pass secrets on to the Russians, right?

Many people have forgotten the Russian pogroms against their jewish populations, and why the Rosenberg's actions were a disgrace to their Jewish upbringing.

Btw, John Huang was a Taiwanese.

But most of all, I'm not concerned so much about the spying as the lack of security at our laboratories. Nation's spy... that's just the way it is. They do it. We do it.

And when nation's catch other people spying their first reaction is to express outrage that another nation would have the gall to spy on us. But what they are really doing is attempting to deflect blame away from those responsible for safeguarding those secrets in the first place.

There is no international law against spying, just national law. So if people want to keep their "doors" unlocked, how can you blame someone from pilfering your secrets??

Regards,

Ron

In case you haven't been reading hui zhou's posts, the people of Taiwan are just dying to unify with their red brothers and sisters and reap the benefits of the workers paradise.

In case you haven't been reading the headlines, the Taiwanese and the Chinese appear to be in a life or death struggle. It is unlikely that a Taiwanese or a Taiwanese American, or American of Taiwanese origin, will be passing nuclear secrets to the Chinese.
