Your post reminds me of a speed trap.

I read this thread pretty regularly and don't recall the multiple subjectmarks request... nobody reiterated it, etc. Otoh when I said it was a new request, you say "Look! Here it was! Post #4 a month ago! We never talked about it and it wasn't addressed to Bryan but so what - it was there!!".

So I pointed out you were incorrect, no need to yell at me. You were wrong. So what. Be a big girl and accept it. You aren't the first to be wrong and it probably won't even be your last time. NBD. I mean, I just pointed out the original post, I didn't try to humiliate you or anything.

I took the trouble to point out the error for two reasons:

1. Because the statement was clearly wrong and I knew it to be wrong.

2. I had responded to that initial message and I think someone responded as well. Then it died. This is typical of many posts of good ideas on this thread; they get all but ignored. The only posts which seem to generate any real discussion are those of no real substance. I got irritated at the general lack of focus on substance and posted to you because you said something about it being a shame no one brought up the idea back when we could have done something about it.

My irritation isn't with you, though your last post is trying my patience <g>. Face it; this thread has not been about serious issues, it's been about colors and borders and micro placement of items on the screen. Posts with new ideas generate little discussion. Surely everyone doesn't think all the ideas bad. I'd have thought that if they were bad that too would generate commentary as well.

OK, so there has been some give and take on "ignore" among other issues. However, within a post or two someone is off making some sky-falling post about hating mustard yellow and the substantive issue is lost.

Why is that? My guess is that the SI movers and shakers are acting on the display stuff and ignoring, or appearing to ignore, everything else.

Come on, SI, how about telling us why you aren't listening to the many ideas put forward as potential improvements to the product. The beta would be a perfect place to try them out.
