Kap,

I'm announcing my retirement from this thread. I don't have an interest in AMD that's significant enough to keep me here. For a while I thought it was useful to try to keep these Intel "visitors" honest, but I've concluded there is just no reasoning with these brainwashed sheep.

If AMD does ever manage to succeed (against the odds), the Engels and Elmers of the world will be the first to claim immense profits--then they'll disappear.

BTW, any thoughts on the new Sun chip designed to run Java (MAJC)? Supposed to be really fast.

Kevin

I want to ask some questions in an effort to better understand what you are suggesting.

When you say bating, do you mean when AMD or one of the AMD investors is trashed? Are you suggesting that we not respond and just ignore them? If not, what do you propose?

It was my observation that the more they are ignored, the more hostile and denigrating they become. Does anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions?

Mr Kapkan4u, you may think the quality has gone down and perhaps it has, but there are good days and there are bad days. It may not appear this way to you but the abuse goes both ways, you only see it as abuse when it's your ox that's getting gored. It goes both ways.

Both sides bait and goad each other. Everyone could just stop doing it right now. Just forgive the latest bait you received rather than replying to it with a goad. What's the point?

This can be a good thread because where else can you discuss the competition between Intel and AMD in at least a semi-technical way? All the childish stuff just consumes time to abolutely no purpose.
