JXM, i spoke with 2 proficient computer techs (geeks) yesterday. They felt 12/31/99 would be a laughable dud but were very interested in 9/9/99.

Of course if you invert that were talkin wrath.

Not sure what do expect come Y2K, just preparing in the event something does. I just know that lots of companies are throwing big $$$ at a perceived problem (sumptin like hundreds of billions wit lotz of zeeeros at dee end) that doesn't generate any sort of benefit other that continued operation. IMO, reason to be somewhat cautious.

Re: Kick to da Market Nutz
Combine the people going on the defense like yourself and I and those holding back further contributions for the remainder of the year, I think we could be in for a slow and steady decline (with a few mini-BK's thrown in), kind of like what the inuts are experiencing right now.

Whether the Y2K fears are true or not, I believe that Mr. Market gets kicked in the nads.
