While on the subject of health care etc., had you seen
this news item? HRP intends to spin off its senior housing &
health care properties into a new reit, 'Senior Housing
Properties'.
1 new reit share for every 10 HRP, probably in September.

I wonder if this spin-off will behave like many others
and plummet in price initially, recovering later.

Richard: NHR is on my list...if it dips back to the nine's, I'll join you. I had jumped out of ETT @10 on recent weakness in GHV, but the $50 million investment convinces me that they won't be following Vencor down the drain. I also like that ETT's CFO [now CEO] has made significant open market purchases at higher prices. I've talked to him twice and he comes across real straightforward.
