>>That would certainly change the landscape<<

I will have to take your word on that.

I just noticed that the whole market did the same pop-and-selloff as RMBS this morning so that rumor probably played little part. Looks like the sellers are very determined (in RMBS and the market in general).

Dave:
Got email from Curcial Technology yesterday. Crucial a division of Micron Computer, has been pushing PC13 for a while. However, they cited the Intel PC133 support article on enbs. The email said:

"In either case, Curcial Technology is able to offer PC133 or Rambus to your customers since we're a division of the largest semiconductor manufacturer, Micron Technology"

Intrigued, I called Curcial and asked innocently about PC133 and Rambus RDRAM. The supervisor not the sales rep got on the line and explained that PC133 was available now however RDRAM was NOT GOING to be available to next year. I followed up this statement with what about DDR. He said Sync link DDR RAM is in the works and will available later this year.
Assuming thaat Micron was anti-Intel in stance, I asked my final question, what could I do with PC133 RAM. He said currently there is no support for PC133 RAM. You have to use PC133 RAM in systems that support PC100 RAM and overclock bus to get any additional performance.
Maybe VIA is having some rough sledding regarding Apollo chipset deliveries.
