From your perspective, nobody should buy anything over the next several weeks,
therefore, the Dow is going to tank several thousand points and the Naz several
hundred more at least. Why hold any stocks at all - why even nibble - let's all go to
cash because Aug has rolled around. I don't buy that. I buy overhyped inflation
concerns and rising interest rates causing a market correction - not the fact that it is
August. If that was the case year in and year out, the stock market would be the
easiest thing to time. It is not. Are you suggesting that no one was buying today -
that everyone is dumping their stocks. Maybe you're right - we'll see. Good luck to
you.

Enjoyed your post and those were my thoughts as well. If it were so convenient for us to know when to buy and when to sell our stocks we would all be rich as Bill Gates. I think the buy and hold is the best long term approach to wealth building.

In 1996, we had a very strong 2rd half of the year rally in all the major indexes. The correction is of course long overdue. However, if you buy selected issues bits by bits, you will be in great shape within 10 months.

Nuts still have a long way to go down. The nut crazy has burnt out nnumerous shorts in the past 24 months. Right now I am seeing longs and momos paying big...

Well see last August/Sept, January/FEb, April/May and now its doing exactly the same.

It would be interesting to see a smoothe out chart of the dow and the Naz.

Best regards,

L
