"According to this InfoPro Taiwan report , all the 5 AMD-confirmed motherboard makers, Gigabyte, Asus, Biostar, Microstar and FIC will release their individual K7 boards in mid August. And a new wave of 6 motherboard makers will join in the production of K7 boards in September. This report also confirms earlier sayings that IBM and Compaq will announce their K7 systems this month, along with the official AMD launching of K7. Also, since Intel strategically roled out their PIII-600 last week to ruin AMD's K7 party, AMD will reportedly retaliate by announcing the K7-650 in mid August."
