ebay seems to have everything going for it except the stock market. Outages really dont concern me that much...it's going to happen to anybody. That said, anybody else notice the eerie similarity in behavior when comparing the 1999 internets to the 1995 semis. As I recall, semis peaked in 1995. Until the plunge began they could do no wrong. But those buying the dip on the semis in 95 had to wait years to break-even. WHen a sector goes out of favor big-time it doesnt turn on a dime. But then these are the inuts!

My finger's itching to pull the trigger on ebay, cnet, elnk, and even etrade but the media mavens keep mouthing off about another 10% to go.

I don't have the time to explain it to you in detail at this moment, but here's what I see happening:

Internet stocks are in the process of getting killed. After that, tech stocks, particularly in those in the S&P 500 will decline seriously, followed eventually by stocks in the Dow 30.

I happened to be working in Thailand, for a Thai telecom company that was providing stock trading data for the Stock Exchange of Thailand (http://www.set.or.th/), among other activities when the stock market of Thailand collapsed 2 years ago. Been there, seen that, it's happening in the US now.
