While I should really know better than to get involved in this discussion, it is having an unfortunately negative impact on what remains one of the better threads on SI.

Threads are not only about topics, but also about community. Over time, the community broadens its interractions beyond the original scope of the thread. Some people will enjoy and participate in these broadened discussions. Others have no interest. But when people start policing the depth of discussion by others, and being critical because the community has taken on a life beyond the technical limits of the subject of the thread, it creats tension and animosity within the community. And then the community starts to fall apart.

This thread has never gotten far off target, and has generally remains quite cordial. Why introduce anger and criticism into an otherwise friendly place? Sometimes, there just isn't a very serious technical analysis of cmgi that cries out for discussion. Some days, there's just not a lot to say. And there's nothing wrong with discussion issues surrounding cmgi that are of interest to shareholders even though it's not directly related to that moments share price.

But most importantly, we can't being faulting and critiquing posters who have never shown animosity or rudeness to others. That's when threads die. Don't kill this thread. If you don't care for a post, or a poster, then skip the post. But don't introduce ugliness to the thread. Please just let this issue pass without further discussion and let's return to a cordial discussion.

**OT ** sunny, I did not mean for my response to be unfriendly... I only meant it to be candid... it came out blunt, but that's it. I hold the cyber-friendship of everyone on the thread dear to my heart... you only need to ask my wife about that. Anyway, I see that you sent me a PM, which I haven't read yet, but will and will reply to it.

again, by no means I meant to be unfriendly...

best regards
