Wait, Isn't that what HDTV promises?

The Panasonic equivelent is $3500 as I recall.

Yes some TV's have the decoder built in.
Some now have DirectTV built in. But if you later decide to go to the DishNetwork you're going to have to buy another box.

I prefer the Decoder be separate from the TV, that way I can update my Settop box independently from my $7K TV.

I think this sell-off in the NASD has obviously caught quite a few "margined" people off guard. The NASD is truly getting into an oversold state.

My guess is that it is much more than a settop box for $2000!!! ouch??!! It is probably a full-fledged HDTV receiver or a typo on the price.
