Jim, i agree, shorts taking profits and J6P possibly being set up for distribution and shorting by the specialists. i have seen clear signs of distribution on every rally so far. i wouldn't be comfortable being long this market, although there is of course always an outside chance for the bulls to turn this thing around IF sentiment continues to worsen without further declines. but this chance seems very remote right now, too many former leaders sailing through supports or making ominous reversals on high volume.

James, I'm wondering if foreign investors are bailing. I don't know what percentage of U.S. equities are held by foreigners. Wish I knew who is selling. Obviously, someone is cashing in their chips.....USPIX up 23% from the bottom <g>...scotty

Jim, If I remember correctly the one last year had some sustained rallies mixed in but this just looks like organized non panic selling.

BTW, my favorite of all charts that I look at every nite is GS. Not that I want to buy it but I just love to remember the day it went IPO.
